We just recently returned from Laos. A land that welcomed us with much warmth, a warmth emanating from simple things and simple men, who are constantly engaged in fighting the devastating consequences due to the difference between poverty and wealth, justice and injustice, good and madness generated to the detriment of its people without any freedom of speech, without any right to grandstand.
We went to bring encouragement and to sow the seed of a dream: that of giving a voice to the silent, forgotten and ignored heroes, and yet who are present in Laos as well as in 1,000 other corners of the Earth.
Heroes Company is the dream: it saw the light in Laos but it continues its mission by giving a voice to the heroes of the third millennium. Heroes who deserve our attention and for whom we have a duty to elect leaders for the safety of each and definitely of “everything”.
Only a few days have gone by and a multitude of heroes dressed in purple-red invade our TV screens and the first pages of our daily newspapers. The world, which seems to have forgotten the strength, energy and peaceful resistance of Gandhi, is realizing that a nation of men in Myanmar is unifying and is ready to give its life to defend the oppressed.
The image of heroes armed with prayer is overpowered by the image of a dying hero armed of his photo camera. And the latter is overpowered by the image of soldiers bowing to the heroes they should have suppressed…
Heroes Company gives a voice to the heroes: the modern heroes. To all the heroes of our times.
